I have a query regarding the colouration of hatchling mangroves. I have a normal black/yellow female, but the male is a brownish colour with cream bands - is this normal, with a gradual change as he ages, or is this an abherrant colour form?? He is very similar to the leucystic shown on Vogel's site.
I have been looking through various threads on this site, and all of the hatchlings seem to be of the same colour as the adults.
I can't get a photo just yet as I am still settling him in.
If anyone can give an answer I would be very grateful.

Hi Ian,
it's very hard to say something useful without any pictures. So I'll be waiting on those.
