....that has white instead of yellow bands (if this is indeed a subspecies)? I used to have one of these that I unfortunately sold, and I would vcery much like to find another.

From what I understand found it is a colour variation fond in Boiga dendrophila dendrophila from Java.

What about the red phase mangroves - like the one in this idiotic video? www.youtube.com/watch?v=31b2r1zyvFAIs it another locale specific dendrophila or a different spp. all together?

I've neve seen an animal like this. My first thought is that it's fake; painted or something. The only red/orange I've seen was in young dendrophila ssp., but that wasn't as red as here. So I don't know.

bit of a topic bumb, but i can tell you the awnser...XD boiga d melanota has also a variaty with white band instead of yellow never heard of the red phase, if there would be animals like that, i need to get one tho!
