WC unsure of age.. she was VERY calm and handleable untill the camera came out scale perfect apart frm a little nose rub... and cant get her to feed tried scenting with everything except chick and frog at the minute ... peace JAmes

Try to feed her live birds. This triggers dendrophila most of the times. The subspecies you have is B.d.dendrophila. In my experience the subspecies that's hardest to keep well and get feeding okay.

If you leave her in her enclosure she is more likely to feed, getting her out for photographs is just going to stress her more and decrease the chances of feeding. Disturbe her as little as possible. Try leaving a defrosted quail (young one) or chick on a perch over night.

I had the same problem and had to feed live garter snakes for a month until it would take snake scented rat pups

What a beautiful snake. Have you had success in getting the snake to feed yet, and did it keep it down ? What worked ? Thanks, Dennis
