I have just been given a pair of Nigriceps who just stopped eating about 5 to 6 weeks ago. Both had apparently been feeding well on fuzzes and small mice for the last few months both were and still are active and inquisitive snakes.
on collection I checked their environment as this would seem the most logical cause for them to stop eating but all seemed correct compared to the other Boiga species i keep, though I have placed them into smaller and higher humidity tanks. I have to say on collecting them they felt very thin and dehydrated so I soaked them in warm water for 20 Min's and have force watered them with an electrolyte solution. And remarkably they felt and looked so much better after 24 hrs.
It is now 48hrs since I have re hydrated them and so tonight I will be tying them on pinkies.
I thought that people might find this interesting and also may have positive suggestions on getting them feeding again.

Good news! Got both of them feeding on the fuzzies. I did have to assist feed them with a little coaxing but at least they have feed. One less thing to worry about.
