Hello everyone! my name is Danny and I have kept snakes for approxamately 8 years, and always have had an apreciation forboigas, particularly dendrophilia. I owned one for several months about a year ago, a WC male, a little less than 3 feet (1 meter), but tragically, it died due to heavy parasite load. I am looking tyo try again with these snakes, and am looking for other people's experiences, tips, and ideas. I hope to be able to share what I know as well.

Hi there Danny Welcome to the site. Its a bit quiet - Ive not even used it myself for years, but just decided to put a bit more effort in again today. If you do acquire another specimen I would stronbgly suggest captive bred If wild caught then really concentrate on ensuring it is well hydrated is one of the first things I do. Provide a cage with lots of cover to minimise the stress, plus talk to your vets about immediate treatment to eliminate worms/parasites - better still get the person you are buying it off to do this first . Then give it plenty of time to settle in with minimal handling
