just ask a more specific question about temperatures, humidity, incubation or whatever you want to know, then someone will help.

I just thought somebody on the forum would have been able to give me the basics of breeding mangroves, I didnt know I had to break it down to certain areas of temp, humidity time of year etc to get a reply.
Thanks for you reply to me, put the original message on about 4 weeks ago without any replies.
Thanks...

still don't know what exactly you want to know, but, the basics in breeding mangroves:
you need an adult pair, keep them seperate (for some month), the female should be feed very well, the male a little less. keep them around 26-28°C, put them together and wait what will happen. normally you will see them mating in a few hours.

Hi, I have been breeding snakes for many years now, and the majority of snakes I breed are usually hibernated for a few months, around november december. I've had much sucess with what I have bred. I fully understand the common sense basics for breeding. ie... 2 adult snakes, cool them, feed up the female, put the snakes together for a few hours seperate them etc. But there must be a time when to raise humidity? or lower humidity?, there must also be a correct time of year to start the breeding process? with mangroves snakes. With this being the Boiga zone and this being the breeding forum I thought somebody would have the information needed to sucessfully breed these snakes.
A quick question for you.
How many times have you sucessfully bred your Boiga?
Thanks...

hi,
no, for breeding mangroves it's not neccessary to raise or lower humidity.
for you question: my nigriceps now 2 times, my manfroves and cyanes i've kept a few years ago 3 and 4 times. unfortunatly i can't get my jaspidae breeding....

Thanks for your info and help. Just one more question. What time of year is best to put them together?

in my experience the time is not really importent, mating is possible throughout the hole year.

Sorry Ive not been around. Ive bred my nigriceps successfully 4 times now with more eggs currently incubating. I keep them together all year round though. Mind having said that Ive just seperated them to give her a break for a few months. I do not keep dendrophila. Maybe you could pm or email Chris, or even Gernot Vogel. Ive consulted 3 books for you but found little info regarding the breeding process, only that they can produce from 4 to 15 eggs per time and these hatch after around 12 weeks or 90 days.
